About Rob
Rob was born in 1984, The Netherlands. He is playing the guitar and singing since the age of 13. He was always sure that his home was on stage. That thought had never changed since then! At 15 he was playing in his first band as a guitarist. A few years later he formed his own band, FIZZGIG. There he began to sing. It was with FIZZGIG when he decided to become a leadsinger. After 5 years the band split up and Rob formed THE TWINKYS. As leadvocalist he experienced the joy of entertaining a crowd. The band was performing in The Netherlands and Belgium reguarly and Rob developed more interest for music. As well as a guitarist/singer as for the business side of it. He was managing THE TWINKYS and that worked out fine. During this periode of time, Rob was asked to become the leadsinger for KITSCH. A band who wrote Dutch songs, mostly by his brother. He didn’t play guitar with this band at all! After 2 years of great gigs and an album he decided quit and it was a year later when BIG SHAMPOO & THE HAIRSTYLERS was formed. At that same time Rob quit his job and became a professional musician. Since than he is very busy touring. Still every year over 130 gigs and there is more to come!!
